Submission Guidelines
XXXIst General Assembly International Astronomical Union (IAUGA 2022) cordially invites you to submit an abstract(s) for the IAUGA 2022. Abstracts must be submitted before the announced deadlines via the online abstract submission system. Accepted abstracts will be presented during the IAUGA 2022.

The categories of abstracts are “Invited Talk,” “Contributed Talk,” “e-Poster,” and “e-Talk.” Invited and contributed talks (in-room and remote) will be presented live during parallel sessions. e-Posters and e-Talks will be posted at the galleries of the meeting platform during the IAUGA 2022.

Invited Talk/Contributed Talk (In-person registration only, except for daily ticket registrants)
In-person registrants are entitled to submit:
- Up to TWO abstracts for invited talk, contributed talk and/or e-Talk presentation to scientific sessions (SM, FM and DM),
- Up to TWO abstracts for e-Poster presentation to scientific sessions (SM, FM and DM), and
- ONE abstract (either contributed or e-Poster) to the IAU office meetings and ECWG meetings (OM or WM).

Only in-room & remote talks are presented during parallel oral sessions.

For the e-talk gallery, videos of prerecorded talks (mp4) should be uploaded through YouTube links by July 15, 2022. Presentation files (pdf) can be uploaded in addition to the videos (optional).

The meeting platform will provide “web-based e-Talk gallery” and “web-based e-Poster gallery” , where registrants can watch the videos of pre-recorded talks and posters anytime.

Step 1. Registration

All applicants are required to register and pay the registration fees prior to submit the abstract.

Step 2. Prepare Abstract(s)

Abstract must be written and presented in English.

Abstract should NOT exceed 2,000 characters (incl. spaces).

Tables, diagrams and pictures are not allowed to abstracts.

Step 3. Confirmation of Abstract Submission

An acknowledgement of abstract submission will be automatically sent to presenting authors via e-mail upon completion of online submission. This letter is NOT an acceptance notification but an acknowledgement of your abstract submission.

It is the responsibility of each individual to verify the acknowledgement and carefully review the submitted abstract(s), noting that in some cases during the submission process, characters become unreadable.

You can review, modify or update your abstract(s) at MY PAGE on the website until the deadline.

Step 4. Notification of Abstract Acceptance

Each SOC will review all abstracts that are submitted in accordance with criteria. SOC reserves the rights to transfer the category of abstracts from contributed talk to e-Poster and/or e-Talk presentation and reject any abstracts that failed to comply with the given guidelines.

The NOC may limit the total number and session category of e-Poster abstracts due to the availability of e-Poster displays at the venue.

If an applicant decided to withdraw an accepted abstract(s), the applicant must withdraw the accepted abstract at MY PAGE

Step 5. Prepare presentation(s)

All presentations must be produced and presented in English.

Guidelines for presentation will be announced after the notification of abstract acceptance.
